Re: First Boat, Looking to restore
"Paint Your Boat for Under $100 Bucks"
Aluminum, correct?
Or Rustoleum Professional, a hardener can be used with it too....
If you prep & get down to bare aluminum, you'll need to Zinc Chromate or Self Etching primer 1st, then prime & paint
But paint prep is key. Is your SeaNymph still in it's original paint? Or has it been re-painted previously? Your new paint will only be as good as the paint it's applied to. Make sure whatever paint you do have now is well stuck and very well prepped.
There are at least 2 current SN projects, PMC & Jas are both doing great work:
1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild
1988 Sea Nymph GLS
And for lots of good info & ideas for aluminum boats, check out the Starcraft restos too:

Welcome to iboats, and as DB210 suggests, what cosmetic work & pix.
Given that we even like to see derelict boat pix, rather then none:
(Not mine)
(mine)
Yours will likely look great!
Photobucket is a free site that makes the pix nice & big & posted directly in your post, rather then attachments that have to be opened.
