My new to me, fiberglass boat has a recently rebuilt transom, 1.5" thick wood with fiberglass on both side. I have just removed an old transduser and kicker bracket, and need to fill the small holes before repainting. I already have some Bondo Fiberglass resin, can I use that, or do I need to use an epoxy resin, and why? and whats the difference? The kicker bracket holes are no more then 1/4", and the transduser holes even smaller. Thanks

I use Bondo Marine epoxy stick which is fast and easy. If you want to use some fiberglass resin.......cut up some fiberglass and mix it it. Resin alone is not a good filler.

I'd recommend you check into PC-11. Ace Hardware carries it. It's quick easy and very effective for repairing small holes like this.
