I am looking for the hours on my boat. I have a 2003 glastron gx205 with a Volvo Pena engine. Any help would be appreciated

Welcome aboard.

There may not be any way to tell. If there's no meter on the dash, there probably isn't a record.

I'm assuming you bought the boat used and don't know how much it was used before you got it?

If the Volvo-Penta motor has a computer it may track engine hours which is what a dash hourmeter does. What model of motor?

many boat makers quit putting hour meters on their boats because customers were pissed when their boat was out of warranty with such low hours from lack of use.

if the boat was used a normal amount, assume 50 hours per year
if the boat was used a lot, assume 100 hours per year
if the boat is only used on the 3 major holidays, assume 10 hours a year

truth is about 95% of boats get used less than 20 hours per year.

I have been averaging 24hrs a year for the past five years. So when I put the boat up for he season yesterday I check and had only put 20hrs on it this year. I was somewhat disappointed. With a job change and having to start working weekends my boating time has taken a hit. The first mate and myself head out first thing in the mornings, get our skiing done then head off and sit. We don't travel very far from the dock so not a lot of reason to put a lot of hours on the boat. When the kids were small I am sure we put more hour on it, but didn't keep track back then.

My 2007 Glastron has the hour meter on the drivers side below the throttle about shin high. Odd place for it and I'm sure you would have noticed it on yours. But just in case...
