Hello guys,

I have been offered another replacement block/bottom end to replace my cracked block, just can tell if the blocks are the same or not? Have looked at the engine numbers and tried looking at the mercruiser Service Bulletin 2005-08, but still can't figure it out.

Please could some one let me know if the new block I have found will be a direct replacement?

Many thanks

Sorry Its a 3.0L block. I was concerned that there may be differances in the casting etc, depending on year?

Ok, do you know if the internal are the same, pistons, cams, crank etc? I am giving my cracked engine to a engineering firm to switch over everything and build me a long block.
