I'll put it this way
It was great, easy in/out, then after tightening the top nut it got tighter. Figure a 300 pound motor sitting on a motor mount should be down. Tightening a top nut on a mount should not move the motor, but since it did, then something isn't right. One side is not as high as the other

Too many variables to consider in checking alignment to strive for perfection on the grease marks. If the tool goes in/out easily and the markings are present all-around, and a 90˚ rotation holds true, call it good.

Those engine mounts have seen better days. Put them on your fix-it list.

Mine were in at an angle also , obvious that hoke was drilled at an angle while engine was in place. no issues for me
