Did anyone, besides me, notice the interview that Jr did after the race today? Did he seem slightly stoned or what?? He had to ask the reporter to start the interview over, and when the reporter did, Jr really didn't answer the question! I dunno, it just seemed odd to me.

Yeah I saw it. Not like Jr at all.
I got the impression that he was seriously upset, and maybe on the verge of tears for some reason....

I thought it was all to much like jr. , to the extreme.

Reminds me of two different coworkers, when they were in the early years of what turned out to be a very bad disease.

I thought he started to choke on his Diet Dew, then he gave a nonsense answer like he wasn't paying attention. The interview seemed to be cut off then.

Put the best speaker you know out on the track with Jr and the rest of them. Let's see how he/she drives in a cup race.

Re: Earnhardt Jr.'s Interview

Just finished watching the race. Had to watch Jr's interview a couple times to understand what he was saying. Didn't catch it the first time tho. He basically said they were low on fuel and didn't want to take a chance at running out like a bunch of other drivers did. He also didn't think there were going to be so many caution laps when a caution flag was thrown. He gave the impression they could have stayed out too because of all the laps under caution.

I guess being high in the points standings they didn't want to do something stupid like run out of fuel and take a big drop in points.

Granted, I'm using more words than Jr did. But, that was the gist of his interview.

Thought Martin was going to pull it off. It was his for the taking if he didn't make the mistake at the end that let Joey get up to his rear bumper. A little wiggle and Joey was off to victory.

Now it's off to Michigan. They repaved that track too. That race could be a real yawner. Was never too exciting before. Now with the new pavement it will take a few years to break the track in.

Yeah, I was hoping Martin would pull it off (simply because I am from Arkansas too) but I am happy that Joey was able to get around him. Seemed like a fair pass.

As for Jr's interview, I don't know. He seemed REALLY out of it. At first I thought he was trying to calm himself from saying something that might get himself in trouble (KURT) but the reporter didn't ask a stupid question. I would have thought by now that he could learn to ignore sour fans, but I guess not. Oh well, its off to Michigan!
