Dull keel from beaching

I purchased a boat the previous owner beached a few times in the sand. The keel is dull and I wanted to restore the shine. There are no deep cuts, but a sanding that has removed the shine. What would be the best process to return the shine?

Looking a little closer at the fiberglass that was beached, I will need to wet sand to remove some of the light scratching. How much sanding can I do without going through the gelcoat? This is on a Regal boat if it makes a difference.

gel coat is thick enoght as long as you stay off the corners and as you are trying to get back to a buff finnish you will only be taking a very minor amount off with wet sanding before using a buffing compound.
