Well first let me start by saying im a novice to almost all things boating.
I have a Suzuki df15 4 stroke pull start that i believe is a 2001 model when the new EPA standards or what have you. My self, my buddy , and my buddys dad (boating forever), can not figure out how to flush or run this engine with out sticking it in a barrel or some sort . We can see the flush sign on the side of the motor and it looks like a flat headed screw that can undo it, but we are not sure if that is for the water, or maybe for anti-freeze for the winter.

any kind of info would be helpful.

Just read your thread on 15 hp suzuki df the manual says that there is a optional flush kit from suzuki. I have a 2010 motor and I am trying to find one of those. Thanks TOM

If you know where I can find one of these flush adapter that would be great

The flush screw is for flushing the engine. IN THEORY you would remove the screw and attach a flushing device (most likely homemade?) connect it to your garden hose and flush the salt water out ( engine not running). Probably the best way to flush the engine is to run up in the barrel. Just my opinion.

What's wrong with just running the motor on the muffs?....Walmart sells muffs for about $5, real easy to hook up to garden hose and flush away!;)

Hi Tom,

Just curious how you went with this issue as I am also a novice and purchased the same engine a opulent of weeks ago and think its a pain to un in a large bin! Also the muffs at useless. I have purchased th freshwater flush attachment online and hopefully that will be the answer when it arrives.
I am curious to know how you now flush yours.

Thanks for your time and help in advance.
