Cuddy Cabin Step

Has anyone seen cuddy cabin boats with a built in trash can in the step down to the cuddy?

I am trying to figure out the best way to make this work on my boat:

Any ideas or does anyone have this setup in their own boat?

You would have to mod that step..or make a custom one with a flip top.

Basically you would have to give measurements ..then we would have to make send back construction plans..

one word of advice, be very cautious with those piano hinges. Use longer screws then what it came with. Put your weight in the wrong place and the scews will pull out. I did the same thing on my travel trailer.

Thanks for the input, the piano hinge doesn't do the supporting- I have 3 cleats holding the lid in place but otherwise I can totally see the issue with those tiny screws!
