Re: Crazy Weather

Eight inches plus and a nice layer of ice under that. Milk and duct tape are in a great demand in Chiiicothe. City has been c/o money is short on the snow removal thing. Know this to true because coming to work today I saw a team of sled dogs pulling a plow behind them. Ifn you are into snow come join us today and share our happiness.......

Crab bait, From montgomery county, south eastern part of the state. Coming down like the hammers of hell here too. By the looks of it we will get our twenty inch's no problem. Our crew has twenty school parking lots to do and some of them are huge. Its gonna be tough to move that much snow.We are in desperate need of new utility trucks to move this stuff with. Its gotten so bad we have one mechanic that does nothing but fix broken snow equipment every time it snows. He is busy as a one armed paper hanger with the runs when it snows.

Keep your head above the white stuff
------------
Flathead

Re: Crazy Weather

I have a cousin that lives in Dayton, Oh. and she just called and said that they use some kind of codes in Ohio for bad weather and they had issued the code, whatever it is, that if you were caught out on the roads without it being a real emergency, then you would get a ticket.
P.S. She also said she had 9.5" on the ground and they were forecasting for up to three foot before it was over.
I can only wish. ;)

Re: Crazy Weather

It still snowing here, real fine stuff, not stacking up much, must be because it is 19 degrees. A tad bit too cold for snow. If it was 8 degrees warmer, we would be getting the large amounts also. Thats okay, we got our share of the lake effect that you guys have missed out on......SS

Re: Crazy Weather

Sorry you missed the mess SpinnerBait. We have more than enough, will be glad to share with you. I'm glad I plowed the drive last night, was barely able to get my tractor to push the stuff. This morning looks like it is going to be even harder to push it out of the way. There is a drift behind my service van about 2 to 3 foot deep. Hope I don't get any emergency calls. Snow on the roof tops of our stores must be 2 to 3 foot deep also. I know where I'll be later on in the day. Got to get that crap off of them befor it starts to thaw in a couple of days. I have seen alot of flat roofs up here collapse because when it gets wet, it get super heavy and overloads the structure. The cover I made for my boat is working excellent. The only good news I have. .....SS

The tail end is here which I'm a thinkn you got 600 plus miles of snow between usm and youm.

Re: Crazy Weather

Well guys....I spent the whole day shoveling out. Measured the snow on the picnic table and it measured 15 inches. Forecast says 2 to 4 more tonight. Ain't heard yet what the "offical" total will be for this snow fall. I wouldn't have been to tore up about it but I went out to the garage to get the blade on the tractor and found someone did a number on the ignition sw. and two tires where flat. I wasn't a happy camper. Tomorrow after work I'm getting a snowblower and I'm hidding it. Oh well. Grandkids had a hech'va time sled ridding. Talk about a bunch of popcicles. Sure hope the rest of ya' faired well. Mayfloat, how is it in your neck a' the woods. I hear your area is still under a level 3 emergency. All Spinner-bait is getting is rain. Comon up Bubba. Me and SS Mayfloat will show ya' how to have fun in the snow. LOL!! :D :D
