Hey folks !
I recently got a deal on a 36" wide 40 to 50 lb roll of 10 oz fiberglass cloth ... $9.00
Can I use this solely for like a custom center console or side console and other wells,
furniture and structural support ? Polyester resin, of course.
Can I just use this and not any mat, roving or finer mesh cloth ?
2, maybe 3 layers ? or more ? Should I shoot for a given final thickness ?
Thanks

That will wet out real nice, bends and turns get easier. Just do double down on glass. I just started using some 9 oz. and it looks fake to me cause I'm so use to 1700 with eeppooxxy.
Structural use may want to do more than 2. It just wets out so easy.
I can't help ya with your question regarding mat I have no use for it because of epoxy.
2 10 oz =20 oz

If your laying on something you will need mat. The way it was explained to me was that the random fibers find their way into all the nooks and crevasses to get a better bond between the cloth and substrate
