Cobra is clutch dog, King cobra is cone clutch shift. (except for the first year of king cobra which was clutch dog)

Got a picture of your drive? There are 3 different drives that OMC named King Cobra. It's a lot easier to tell you what you have than explain all the possible differences.

If it's hooked up to your 3.0L you are asking about the motor mount shims, it's a Cobra. The King Cobra had two versions, both used on the higher output engines, not the 3.0L engines.
