can someone tell me what motors are in a 1987 28' Chris-Craft 283 Amerosport 262 ?

I’ve never done this style only having had the OMC Cobra which is very easy.
Gotta find a Crusader catalog. Maybe post up pix of what you have

if its a johnson or jabsco pump, the part number is on the stamped pump cover. google will get you a replacment pump or an impeller kit.

hi again hope your summer is going well, maybe you can help me again .....she had water in 1 cly , still on land. Her guy pulled the manifold, said it leaking i guess , ports are so clean . I know she had an issue when she pulled it in fall as 1 motor was slow to crank, she has batts pulled so never had chance to look it over I was thinking leaking head gasket.... So she tells me the 4.3 was just used for two years...no manifolds to be found..., just for the v-8 i saw . Any input would be great thanks you again !!!!!

you would want to change from the batwing manifolds to the 2-piece.

ok bare with me...lol so thats whats on her motor now batwing ? And then use a 2 piece MerCruiser manifold ? sorry im a jet ski shop lol
