Visible in daylight? oh yes they are,but of course many factors will hide them like the suns gleaming light as you drive toward it. A good pair of polarized glasses will help a lot to see this from any angle if you know what your seeing.

Excellent advice!!! And watch for the double, triple, quadruple etc. tops!! :eek: Reverse is true as well, sheer side, should be deep: The Narrows, Iceberg, Hemmenway Wall etc.
Funny you mention that,i once blew out a blade on my prop in wishing well as I drove out the same way I came in,i thought. went to full plane and just hit the top of a rock with one blade in middle of channel, ikid you not it was over 100 ft deep on both sides of this little rock,about the size of a cooler. Broke off the bent blade and drove back on two.Even if you don't like fishing get a fish finder too help in this battle,they have many things to alert you of such dangers right QC?

Sure, as long as it's not one with an OMC! :)

:lol: I was thinking the air cooled Wayne 100 project! :D

Hopefully the future years bring some heavy snowpack to the areas in the previously posted maps.

No thanks!

I am hoping for a miracle second half of winter! Tahoe got a bit more than a foot last night and today. Not much but it's a start.

I hope you had some "good times" today jj. Should have been an awesome day on the lake for a maiden voyage.

Re: calling all lake mead boaters! nevada

The weather was great as I arrived at the marina,thinking back to last may when I traded my center console for this boat,i was worried but as good times came rolling down the launch ramp I knew we were meant for each other.It fired up on the first try, and then I let it run for a while as its been sitting for yrs.I noticed two water leaks by engine,one was just a hose thing and the other was a exaust header that appears to be cracked,damn!! but I drove it anyways past tires and went to full plane and it runs great.the smell of a old engine coming back to life is a worrysome smell to say the least as I was alone.then I shut it down by sandy against my smart will and of course it had a hard time starting again because of battery issues not motor,poorly connected grounds and so on was at issue,but I had my handy trolling mtr to keep me off the shore till I figured a way out of it.I still have work to do on good times to get it a lake mead boat but not much.
I did manage to keep this other boater from getting his truck towed at the calville launch ramp as he parked next to ramp in dirt where there is no trailer parking! besides them I only saw employees on boats there.

didn't get to enjoy the lake much as I was so worried about all the important things like bolts in a bucket,I had so many things going on in my head.

Heard it was gonna be high 70s today..Hit the lake late around 11:30..Water temp around 56 degrees and cloudy..Went to Government for a bit and fished for Large mouth that were not biting..Went way up into the wash and there were boats everywhere I guess because it was free lake day..No fish..Ended up towards Swallow for nothing..I did get to mark some rock piles on my new Humminbird fish finder/gps unit..Still trying to figure it out as it never did show me a fish..lol..

...apparently :suspicious::noidea:...:hat:
HaHa!

I would have loved to have been there to witness them removing the boat......or did they just float it and do the survey in the slip?

So one hose was pumping water back into boat, and other was kinked so no water can get out, So the real thing to find out would be where did water come in from right! oops! no one say his boat wasn't properly maintained!everytime I hand a few bucks to someone at gas station im gonna say wayne newton and wait for response.
