well after coming home from today's turkey hunt i decided to work on the boat. i rewired the trolling motor and looking back i think i should have wired it while the top was off but its done now. i also have a odd little setup trolling motor wise. i have a motorguide brute on the original evinrude mount and it works well actually. i dont have pics of the wiring but i will get one of the trolling motor mounted up.i have also wired the trim controls correctly

well the boat is no more. it was totaled in a wreck. i was taking it to a buddies to put it in his garage when it was rear ended. it broke the transom. i managed to get some money back when i sold the outboard. the rest of the boat went with it. im hoping to buy a tracker or other aluminum boat to replace it

Ouch, I hope you got something from the guy that rear-ended you too. That's a bummer, sorry to hear it.

Last boat wreck I saw was a camper towing a newer bass boat with a newer ob merc and kicker. He looked to have taken the turn too sharp and flipped his truck with camper and the boat was ....upside down I believe. A very sad sight. They were a mile form the reaching the launch too. Probably at least $30k in a day.
