Often potrayed as a bumbling president, truth be told he was a better president than many gave him credit for.
Today we lost a good man, may he rest in peace.

He was the last living person to serve on the "Warren Commission"......
Nixon liked him alot....
I can't really recall anything he did good as a president....
Or bad.....
But I was a kid.....
RIP, sir.....:'(

Re: Breaking News(death)

He was the best President we never elected. ;)

His Presidency was quite unremarkable except for his pardon of Nixon, which was probably a good thing in retrospect. Even though Nixon covered-up the crime, I never thought he had anything to do with it. Clinton's single indiscretion paled in comparison to Nixon's, and Nixon's single indiscretion paled in comparison to our current President's multitude. But that's fodder for another thread.

A life lost early is tragic and sad. But a life lived to it's full measure is a comfort amid the sorrow of loss.

Next time I fall down skiing, I'll be thinking of Gerry Ford (if we ever get any snow). RIP Mr. President. :'(

Who cares? We didn't elect him. I have very little respect for someone pushed into office by someone else's screwups. He did nothing while in office except pardon the draft dodgers. Woo hoo.

It's only sad because a human being died and a family lost a family member. But that goes for every human on earth.
