I believe it was Lookout Mountain that we were on, Rock City. No doubt why they call that area the Smokies. Stones River NB sounds familiar too....

Meanwhile, back to reality, winter storm warning until tomorrow at 3pm....

You can't miss Lookout Mt. and Rock City for all the billboards for a hundred miles in all directions. Sorta like Pedro's South of the Border in SC. :watermelon:

Kogs - You mentioned Lookout Mt. I have been trying to get wife on the incline for years. She threatens to leave me!

We didn't do the incline, though I would have enjoyed it. There are a couple of excursion railways in TN and AL - two of 'em have steamers and we're planning on doing one of those sometime instead.

No kiddin' - a good, but VERY real tourist trap.

Sorry man. 57? today and climbing down here.

We're in for a snow (typically when we get one it's in late February or first thing in March) at some point, but we're wrapping winter up here and heading into tornado season.

Yeah, we're always about 2 months, at least, behind everyone else.........

I do miss riding snowmobiles. It's been a while since I've done that.

I keep looking at the long range forecast and it still shows a back and forth March. Low 70s mixed in with much chillier temps. I hope they are wrong about that. Usually Mid March has highs in the mid 70s+. The stagnant high pressure system out west is going to keep sending chilly weather down east

Coolest part is you and yer' kiddo, Musky. One of my daughters (over everyone else in the family) likes to go for random boat rides to nowhere. She and I get a kick outta' those runs - makes 'em just a little on the special side. If six more inches of snow would give me another sled run with my kid, I'd take the snow with a big ole' smile.
