"Dirty Deeds" because when I got her she was filthy and beat up and all of my repairs have been done dirt cheap.

Just picked me up an old 1973 IMP Inca, she needs some love but always puts a smile on my fiance's and mine's face when we're out fishin on her, so we come up with the name "Happy Place":)

Re: Boat Names

Hi all, I'm new to the site and to boating, and figured I would start off my posting here. I am in the process of readying my 1987 Glasstream Free Spirit and I am trying to decide on a fitting name.
I own a small auto shop that specializes in Subaru's. The shop is aptly named All Wheels Driven.
The names that I have chosen for the boat are:
-UR-A-BUS. (Subaru spelled backwards).
-A.W.D. and in small letters underneath Always Wet Dreamin'
-At Work (because Im always there)
-The Shop (My response to my girlfriend when asked where I'm at)
-or, my favorite RallyWet

What do you all think?

There is a boating saying you'll see a lot which states:

"A bad day at the lake is better than a good day at work."

So, how about "A Good Day At Work". A lot of boaters would give you the nod I think.

After getting our vintage runabout home and cleaning it, our dog was up front acting like he owned the place. We thought about "King of the world"... but nah. And as he sat there, obviously proud of his new boat, I said sarcastically "Poor thing, it's a dog's life."
It stuck:

Re: Boat Names

My place up at Houghton Lake ended up being nick named "Peaches". It is on Peach Tree St. It seemed only natural that my boat be named "Miss Peachtree". I relish being the one to name this boat, wondering if since it's a smaller boat that's why it was not named before? Still thinking of the design to put on it. Image003.jpg

Re: Boat Names

I bought my first boat the hard way: used, and on a second mortgage, but I had wanted a boat for all of my fishing life, at least 15 years by that time. She was named "Finallygotaboat" all one word, run together like that. I got a lot of comments on that name. Everybody loved it. This was a 20' center console, offshore fishing boat (a Dusky). The second boat, an inshore boat, was called "Two Jiggers", because my wife and I loved to go around casting bucktail jigs for anything that would bite.

Not sure what the new one is going to be called, but it's time to be thinking about that, now that I've had her 8 months!

Re: Boat Names

I was made redundant late last year so we bought another boat with some of the funds. We called her 'RedundanSea'.

My wife has decided that my new-to-me boat is to be named Lemon Drop. She's not particularly happy with my purchase.:(

Re: Boat Names

Sara Belle - combo name of my wife and daughter. I figured if I kiss a little butt with that name, I won't get the stink-eye (as much) from the wifey while I'm constantly working on it. :D

Just ordered 50 can coozies today with the logo.

Re: Boat Names

How about "The Office"....so if anyone calls and asks where you are, that's an honest answer. :) There's a bar in a nearby town with that name...very clever!

Re: Boat Names

This is another one of those threads that remind me how long I've been hanging around this place.
My previous boat is back on page 5.

Last year we bought our 2870 Rogue. Named her Better Days because the father-in-law is always saying "Better Days are coming". Which also happens to be a line from a song by one of our favorite artists, Joe Bonamassa - Bridge to Better Days. So it seemed a natural fit.
