I swear this is a true story and yes it is almost unbelievable but true just the same. The late summer of 70' I was just shy of 13 a fella had rescued a 40' Egg Harbor from the marina grave yard earlier that spring working on it day and night Finished it like I said late summer early autumn. The name he chose Titanic Jr. Well all the guys at the boat yard told him he was nuts and just begging for trouble. On it's maiden run again against advice (low tide) still within sight of the dock hit an unseen mooring line and chain snapping the screw clean and tore it out of the stuffing box. The story ends well we got to him quick and got him out of the water needless to say the First! repair he did was to grind the name off. LOL
My fav is my friends boat his wife didn't like it too much but warmed up to it after a while but it was in his words "its "B1tch 2" because B1tch 1 was already taken by my wife" lol
I named my boat Smokin Boat because the first time I took her out she almost caught on fire due to faulty wireing. SO the next day I went to see my father in law and he said he heard I bought a red hot SMOKIN BOAT.LOL

My dads had a Rebel Miss , Georga Red (mom has red hair ) And my son wants to name are whaler Peanut
I was in Chile for a couple of years and there was a group of people that followed a certain soccer team there called "The Garra Blanca"
I have a Tri- hull so what a fitting name "Garra Blanca". it means "White Claw"
