Re: Boat Names

my first boat when i was 17 was a 18' mfg with a 65 evinrude on it and i was always joking at the parts depot when they asked what motor i had id reply: " i got this motor that has some guy named evin name on it hes a rude bastard always leaving me hanging. " so appropriatly named "Some Guy Evin's Boat" then that sank and 6 years later i got a (1971) 23' winner with a 150johnson on it and named this one "My <3 Sank a Lil" boy i love tellin that story at the dock standing next to an 05 or 06 grady lol

Re: Boat Names

How about:

NO CARRIER

all in caps, of course :)

In the same vein as NO CARRIER, how about "ATH++"? That's the modem command to hang up the line.

It might look funny on a boat, and very few would know what it was.

Re: Boat Names

I use mine primarily for fishing inland, and intercoastal waters. After some debate my wife and I decided to name our latest the "fat - hooker". The kids liked it too.

Re: Boat Names

Re: Boat Names

I've had several, so I'll pass some on.

"Paid for" on an old 1971 tri-hull

"Mikey Likes It" on a Hobie Cat (early 90's boat. My name is Mike)

"Brown-Eyed Girl" on a brown metal flake bass boat (plus my wife and daughter both have brown eyes)

"Caribbean Soul" on a bay boat just purchased (from a Jimmy Buffett song, "I've got a Caribbean Soul I can barely control and some Texas hidden deep in my heart." - I'm also from Texas...)

my next boat will be a cruising boat. It will be named
"St. Somewhere" (also from a Jimmy Buffett song where he is lamenting the winter and say "I got to fly to St. Somewhere, I'm close to bodily harm."

You just need to pick a name that fits you, for whatever reason. Not everyone has to like it (of course, your wife does need to like it...self explanitory)

Re: Boat Names

My wife and I purchased a 1975 Crestliner from an older gentleman who was the executor of his brothers estate a LOM ( Little Old Man ) boat. It turns out being a 1960 Crestliner chieftian, I also ice race cars and have a small racing team thats called POLAR BEAR RACING so it's fitting that the boat is named
