only 3 first downs in the 3rd quarter ... neither team able to move the ball! Defensive battle, for sure.

The SEC is not as strong as people think.

Let's see how that staement holds up once ALL the bowls are done.

Should Georgia have dominated Nebraska more? Maybe.

Should South Carolina beaten Michigan handily? Possibly.

But the fact is they both won. SEC is the best, until proven otherwise. And that is hard to prove, when you don't beat them.
(Ok, Good for Northwestern, they beat and SEC team. A "4th place in their division, with a losing conference record SEC team", but an SEC team, nonetheless!)

2 1st downs ... good start to the drive. Near midfield with 2:30 left ... could it happen?

Stanford should be beating Wisconsin worse, but Stanford is a PAC-12 team. They have legitimacy issues of their own. Plus they play a ground based offense, which doesn't put up ridiculous points. Wisconsin also has the beef to pound the ball, which is hard on anybody, especially a PAC-12 team built to defend the spread offenses in their conference.

Don't end it on a turnover. First down, it's all over.....

Wisc played a good tough game........ A win would have been nice, but I'm satisfied. No one thought Wisc had a chance going into the game.....

Good hangin' with ya, Art!

Off to the Orange Bowl. Let's see what N IL has for Florida State.........

Go Northern Illinois!

I'll be interested to see how they do. They lost their first game 19-18 to Iowa, which doesn't speak to well, but they seemed like they hadn't figured out their offense at that point. Also one of Iowa's better games for the season. After that they put up huge amounts of offense.

Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl is a joke. Looks like half the seats are empty for a BCS game = pathetic! The only reason they are there is that they got enough sympathy votes to get them eligible to play in it.

Also an SEC team that was ranked as high as 11th in the BCS ranking. Typical overrated SEC team.

Re: B1G Bowls today ...

Stanford's QB had his worst game this season but considering he is a freshman that only started in the second half of the season, not too bad.

Stanford should have had an interception right before Wisconsin's second TD. If that happened, game wouldn't have been as close as it was. Was a good game though and fun to watch.

I actually agree with you that they were overrated. Amazing! (But there are lots of overrated teams, not just from the SEC. FSU comes to mind instantly!)
