Re: B1G Bowls today ...

but Stanford is a PAC-12 team. They have legitimacy issues of their own.
Stanford has been in A BCS bowl game the last 3 seasons with a record of 2-1 with the loss to Oklahoma St last year in overtime. So what are the legitamacy issues?

As far as another team that is overrated, try LSU. They couldn't beat a team that never beat a ranked team all year(Clemsom). Clemson couldn't beat FSU who you also think is overrated. I am beginning to think Notre Dame has a better chance than previously thought against Alabama.

Agree with you on LSU. That was a great way to kick off New Year Eve. Let's hope Bama/Notre Dame is a good contest. Sure has the makings.

First the whole conference lacks legitimacy. Stanford might be the only one to have any. Every year, Oregon or USC is supposed to be the greatest, yet they manage to lose to some Pac-12 basement dweller, and then don't always perform well in the bowl games. That's the legitimacy issue for the conference.

You are making the mistake of the "transitive property" as it relates to football. It might be true in math, but not football.
Watch, learn, and know about football (not just numbers in fantasy leagues) and you will realize it's about how teams match up at key positions and strengths. And in college, home field advantages are huge too.

All of the computer programs take the transitive property into account when it calculates rankings.

A little trickery at the half by Florida for the TD.

#21 Louisville - 24 #3 Florida - 10

We'll see what adjustments Florida makes for the second half.......

Way to start the second half, Florida. Onside kick, fail. 2 15yd penalties on Florida and an ejection. Ball on Florida's 19 after the 30 yd penalty. 1 play, TD Louisville....... This looks like a hockey game!

30 - 10

33 - 10 Domination by Louisville. The score could be worse. Louisville stalled a few times in the red zone.....

Loved the game ... Louisville dominated even more than the final score! Now if the SEC can loose on Monday night ...

Nah, they're still the best conference. ;)

WHy did Florida bother to show up? It seems that since they had no chance at a national championship, this game meant nothing to them? Wow, wouldn't a playoff had helped?

LOL... Mr Bandwagon! I thought earlier you wanted to see how all the other bowls played out with the SEC in them. What happened to your previous PAC-12 comment that they aren't legitimate because they always drop bowl games? Sounds like SEC has legitimacy issues using your same argument. We will see if Oregon just gives up tonight because they didn't get into the championship game.

You would think that a team like Florida would want to prove something. Guess playing Louisiana-Lafayette and Jacksonville St at the end of the season didn't do them any favors in preparing them. Florida and LSU were the most overrated SEC teams and proved it in the bowl games.

I guess that means you are not getting off the bandwagon yet?

Bruce, Oregon played well against Kansas State. Still doesn't tell me they are better than Alabama.

Not on the SEC bandwagon, I am just judging by fact. Past 10 years' performance by the SEC proves they are the best conference. One bad loss by Florida doesn't change my mind. As the expert in fantasy football, you should be all about stats? ;)
