that's what I say!I doubt the prop had a Solid Bite on the Water unless the Tank went under the Trailer and allowed a free flowing path for the water to get to the prop. Tank testing in gear is very limited.
Have you got the Mercury Service Manual for it? If Not, then get it.

Simple points distributors and carbs have few points of failure, modern EFI/electronic engine management, has many!
My friends laugh and poke fun at my and my old boat, but they don't get this. I don't need mechanics, or even a scanner, for this one!
