Anybody ever convert to a center console?

Just like the title says.

I really (I mean really) like center console boats, but I cant find/afford one.
and I would like a small (15') one. Anybody ever done/seen this?

I took a 14' Jonboat (1995 vintage) and converted it to a side console. Works well for 2 people and runs 30MPH with an old Evinrude 25. I have maybe $1400 into it, including the trailer.
