i have an 85 hp force 1989, just rebuilt carbs and set at 1 full turn. it runs ok but i would like better throttle response. should i adjust the carbs separate or in sync with each other
Ahhh in gear, never thought of adjusting that way. thanks man ill give it shotYou have to adjust each individually, for best Idle, in gear. It will take several rounds. If one carb is a lot different than the other 2, then checks for Air Leaks, or High Fuel Level in the Carb. After you get that squared away, you can see how the engine responds to Throttle, again in gear. If there is a Bog, try enrichening all the carbs by 1/8 turn and retry. You may have repeat that as well.
I actually would start at a High Idle in Gear, and would adjust of highest speed(ears are very good at detecting speed changes), then I would do the Adjustments at low Idle, as mentioned above
Thanks man this is gold!!, im going to print this and laminate it lolhttps://forums.iboats.com/threads/s...g-on-a-75-150-chrysler-or-early-force.420505/ The late Frank A. describes idle screw adjustment beginning with step #8 in his lync n sync thread......
I keep a printed copy in my manual....Thanks man this is gold!!, im going to print this and laminate it lol
