No the splash well has not been cut, I don't what that spot is. I was thinking of cutting along the back bottom of the splash well at the transom and across the corners of the transom at the motor well to release the cap, then redesigning the splash well by cutting the front protrusion off and shorting it to the edge of the cap where the deck would be attached. What do you think?

Think of the back of the splashwell as part of the transom now..
So Yes.. cut as close to the transom edge as possible .. and deal with the now transom/splashwell backface.
Get that thing off of there and move on lol ..
Cut just at the back end of the well.. 3 cuts .. AT the Transom in the Spashwell
I think we are on the same page here..
Dont have that nose jacked up when your cuttin. put that nose back down before your cuts or you might shift the deck when it 'Releases' and hurt someone ..
