to start with i am new to the site have herd a lot of good things about it. i am restoring a 22ft islander with a merucry 140 iron duke the floor foam and transum are out of the bout as of yesterday. got the transum out in one pease so i have templet am thinking of buting the gas tank in the floor in the midle of the hull eny one ever dun that be for. am looking for eny pointers or ideas so feel free the help will be greatly appreciated thank you

Welcome to the drydock, qd. Check out some of the Islander re-builds here. Lots of under floor fuel tanks. A 22 footer has deep pockets under the floor made for a tank.
