As soon as I let off the key I do have spark What could cause this how do I test to see if other components are working properly.. any advise would be greatly appreciated!

low charge to the battery allowing no power or weak power to the coil, maybe run a direct hot wire from the stater solenoid to the coil and see if you can get it to run..i'd be interesting in hearing what happens as i have the same motor

Possible you have a defective key/start switch. When the key switch is in the "off" position, it grounds the power pack to prevent spark to the plugs. Disconnect the control box wiring harness under the cowling-that big red plug. This effectively eliminates the control box and key switch from the ignition system. Temporarily disconnect the large red battery cable at the starter. Jump start the starter with battery cables. If you have spark at that point, I'd be looking at for a defective key switch or the control box wiring.
