Hey sprintst,
You really are moving along now that the weather is better. The boats coming right along. Very nicely too.
Keep up the great work.

Dropped the boat off 2 days ago to have the engine and leg bolted back on.

I'll have to order either Durabak or Kiwigrip and see what I can get it for.

Got the call that the boat is ready to pickup. I'll post some pics of the boat with any luck this weekend.

Got the boat back and am now officially broke for a while.

I'll post pics of everything that was done. Got hosed on some parts that were replaced that I'm pretty sure I didn't need but at least the quality of work looks good.

I'll start on finishing the last bit of deck and the glassing with epoxy. The tank and some accessories that I already have can go in along with some wiring as it should be more time consuming than costly.

Tons of pic coming.

Here's some pics of the parts left over or replaced. There was an unused gasket and they said that they couldn't use the new gimbal bearing as there was no way to grease it?

Also trimmed the leg into the full down position after temporarily hooking up the battery.

Here are some random pics of the engine back home. New lower shift cable, carb, hoses, thermostat and housing, water pump, coil, starter, rebuilt engine, etc.

You can see the Sikaflex in the drive opening.

More random engine pics.

My flame arrestor looks like hell and they lost the nut on the top.

Pics of the Sierra carb.

My battery and what not.

I'll need to pickup some new fuel line and a new filter.

It does feel good as it's another milestone. Wasn't sure it was ever going to happen or if I could afford all the parts to bring it up to snuff. I'm sure I could have gotten away with it the way it was but may have done some damage as I didn't know for sure the condition of the leg, seals, bearings, etc.

She's all good now. Next time it will be a big E-Tec outboard as it will be just bolt on and go.

Here's some pics of the leg that was redone. Exhaust tube, transom kit with new gimbal bearing, short yoke, trim limit switches, lower shift cable, etc.

More leg pics and the prop. Can you tell the prop I have on this thing as I can't tell the size, pitch, etc from the markings. I think it's D80072 D4196

Not sure what has been done to the shifter wiring. Pretty sure this loop of pink cable that jumpers these cables wasn't there before.

Not sure if this is to bypass the neutral safety switch for testing. Probably the last day for this week as I'm at a wireless network convention in DC

I can't even afford to post on the forum.

I will have some time coming up to finish off the floor and use up the last of the epoxy. Then I will scrape up some cash for Durabak or Kiwigrip and put an order in.

I might just get the lounge seats done along with the sides and leave the rest for this summer.

The way it sits right now it will float and the engine will run.

I may have to sit on egg crates for now. Discarded pizza boxes can be an inexpensive source of cheese :)
