It was a long cold winter. Still minus 10C here but it is supposed to warm up this week. Weirdest winter yet. It was +15 in January for a week or so and then right back to the cold.

I do owe you guys some fishing pics :) I still think it would be cool to drag the boat out and meet with you guys at some outing. I need to just veg out on the boat for a week and relax. Now back to reading to see what you guys have been up to.

Back again. More madness. After getting a quote for 1700 for a camper top I'm going to take a crack at reverse engineering mine with the help of my mother in law and a commercial sewing machine. Sunbrella plus material will be used for the top with Tenara lifetime warrantied thread, Lenszip zippers and stainless steel poles that will be bent by some electrician friends that are masters with a conduit bender. Here are some of the original pics.

We traced out the old top with 2 inches added due to shrinkage as a guess on each side and the mother in law sewed the top for me. I've finished the first half of the top with the snaps added and test fit it. I'll have some pics up later tonight with any luck. Next step is getting new support poles bent in stainless but for now I have a functional top.

No Title

Here's the pics. I'm holding the top up temporarily until the zippers are in place. Pins from sailrite snap onto the snaps and show you exactly where to place your snaps on the top.

It's been a while. I finally got the engine cover upholstered and installed and made the top out of Sunbrella. I guess I'll have to post some pics.
