Hey gone whats that ladder for?

I was thinking that maybe you use it when you run out of shot shells, just extend it, climb up and use a lawn rake to knock the ducks down.

Get a motor on there and she'll be all set for some serious water fouling. :thumb:

Never thought about that one Wmann, I was gonna use it as my swim ladder

Picked up a 750 gph bilge pump today. Gotta figure out im gonna mount it now. Also need to drill the exit hole on the side which means another trip to the store for the drill bit to do it.

Harbor Freight has their stepped bit on sale fairly often.

Some mount the pump base to an aluminum L and mount that L to the knee brace

Ok, so I spent 5 bucks on a cheap hole drill thing and the bit tip broke on the first drill attempt. I did pre-drill a hole first too. So the bit tip breaking really shouldnt have broke like that Its just the deal with cheap stuff. Ill clean up the small angle piece and attach it to the knee brace with pop rivets when I have some more time. I liked how all I had to do was remove 5 screws to get that corner foam section out. only took 2 mins to do.

The exit cover was white. scuffed it with some sand paper, hit it with a primer and dusted in black spray paint. we will see how that holds up. 20151216_175829_resized.jpg 20151216_175850_resized.jpg 20151216_175947_resized.jpg 20151216_180004_resized.jpg

you should be able to replace the bit with a higher quality drill bit.

Those bits are getting trashed or returned.

2 questions:

Can I just 5200 the bottom piece of the pump to the hull? ( Like hayko but with the 5200)

Do you all put thread tape on for the nut to the through hull piece?

I attempted a few tries at mounting it with aluminum angle and stuff. It would have been a better thing to do when it was gutted. Drill wouldnt fit in there with what I wanted to do. And im trying not to jb weld anything in there.

Went with a lil 5200 tonight. See how stiff it is the morn. Still wondering about the thread tape on the nut to the threw hole threads though. I guess it couldnt hurt. Yall put anything between the outside piece and the hull?

On my SN with the livewell pump all I used was 5200 around the outside hole and tightened up the nut. Same with the through the hull for the bilge pump outlets. Never have used the tape on the plastic NPT threads.

Added tie downs with SS screws.

Your camo'd SS has really got me to considering a 14' SC to make into a bass stalker. We have a couple lakes that are small but the water is crystal clear and full of huge super spooky large mouth bass. I used to have a small SeaNymph and I could sneak around in doing really well at catching those bass but now my bigger SN spooks the heck out of them. Who knows maybe even get back into water fouling too one of these days.

Small quiet boat and long casts out them before they see you! Ultra light tackle helps too in those clear water lakes. You want smaller, I cant wait to tackle a 20+ft'er

After commenting on Baja's thread about how its fun sitting around and thinking about future plans, I put my girls down for a nap and went out to think about blinds. While sitting in it, two holes in the top sides were bothering me so I grabbed the box the held the old fishing rod holders that came with the boat. All 4 were white so I scuffed them up and painted them brown. Then I saw a roll of camo gorilla tape and went and was able to wrap 2 of them. came out nice I think. I sealed the tops of the two of the sides with a lock tight sealer and sprayed over in black. More touch up paint to do when I pick up more colors than black.

After installing these two, thought about how the fishing reel handles may not fit down in one. Next chance to get out ill test them out. I will also have to get backk to the flea market and pick a few more rolls of that tape up. 5$ a roll, but there aint a whole bunch on them.

Thanks for the tip. Upon further inspection it turns out the bit wasnt tightened enough to hold it in place. So I snugged it back in there and will continue to use it!

Good deal JB, Panel was something like 48% off on amazon. 48$ including shipping from 99$ i think. Not sure if its a steal, but jumped on it.

Gotta look into wiring now. From what i read 14 guage is plenty good to run lights and bilge pump? Sound right?
