Watermann makes a great point.. The 36" should do the trick.. You could cut the 36" into 3 pieces and spread it out a little.. If you do use the piano hinge, Take a punch and dimple end of the hinge to hold in the pin..

You can send pics straight to photobucket from your phone which is what I do a lot of times and then post them here.

20151030_111419_resized.jpg Thanks Dozer. Thats stuff does get on the loose some times. I only intended to have a bead of it there just to clean up where the aluminum met.

Waterman, Ill stick to waiting until Im on a computer to post the pics. I already have enough accounts and passwords to remember.

Ill redo it now that Im home.

I went with eyes and bungies for now on the lid. And 3 galvanized hinges.

Seats are bolted in also. I may play with these more because the bolts hit each other only allowing the seats to face from the 12 to the 3 O'clock position. Which works, but in my head it bothers me.

I use philips screws to attach the seats to a swivel base, then bolts to mount the swivel and seat to a bench base. No clearance problems between the two for full 360deg swing.

Bench and seat setup looks good.

Man, I was up for almost 30 hours when I posted last, So obviously not the 12 to 3 but both only face forward and inward. Screws would have been better like you said, but now that I have holes drilled through, I think I will see if I can just shave the bolts down a fraction. All it needs is a tiny bit off to clear and spin free. No more 24 hour shift work for me too, Its back to the regular grind again starting Tuesday.

Ok guys next planning phase:

Finish cutting, boxing in foam in the rear and getting more capet to finish that.

Now as I think motors and what not, 24V vs 12V. What should I need? (Could end up with older pull start or newer electric start motor.
- trolling motor eventually, maybe, down the road but not immediate
- running lights obviously
- probably some sort of internal hull lighting with red/green/white light
- Stereo 4 speaker marine am/fm/usb standard one
- bilge pump ( should I go auto/manual or both)?
- fish/depth finder eventually kinda like thr trolling motor
- No livewells planned in this one

What are your thoughts guys? Am I forgetting anything here?

I would for sure install a float switch for the bilge with a manual switch too.

Live well works for a built in beer / drink cooler. :D

1 - running lights
2 - bilge pump, if trailered a manual will work, add auto for extra security if emergency happens.
3 - fish / depth finder, provides lots of useful info while boating
4 - trolling motor - get you home or to safety in emergencies, great for fishing
5 - interior lighting
6 - tunes

Livewell would be 3.5 on the list.

wiring for phone charging, gps
bimini top

Number 3.5 would revoke my boaters license! unless it only held 4 minnows or 2 shiners :D

Drink could be soda, water, lemonade or any other beverage of choice. I would hope they would revoke any boater license. :watermelon:

Usually only coffee and water on this ride. maybe on rare occasion a cold brew, flirted with that danger once and wont again. coffee and water is where its at on the water!

same pump or one of each you think?

2 seasons with my Chief and 3 with my SN and I haven't turned either's pump on other than to test them. Not sure I could be convinced I need a couple more pumps.

sounds good to me!

Happy Veterans today to those out there serving of have serverd! I got some duck scouting done this morning and then came home and got what I could done to the boat. I happened to have just enough carpet on hand to finish boxing in the stern end foam and cut out an area incase I end up with a console for good measure. Im still researching how im going to do the lights. I cant believe there are some out there for 500$. Ill strap 3 dollar harbor freight flashlights to the bow before I spend that! 20151111_123626_resized.jpg 20151111_133116_resized.jpg 20151111_133137_resized.jpg
