Any type of carpet work for the bunks? Anything that I should avoid?

The rubber in the rub rails shrank a bit it seems, or it was just stretched out when installed. Having a hard time getting the screws to line up for the caps. But the paint is on the hull ! When I tried spraying the final coats with the hardener I chose the worst possible time of day and caught about 1200 small flying insects in about 15 minutes. Had to wait a bit and spray again late at night. The paint looks good. I would lose it trying to paint outside too with all the bugs that like to make my fresh new paint their parking lot.

I had bugs all over mine too. I'm not sure it can be avoided without a well ventilated shop. I had to keep my garage door half open to get some air movement. Paint looks great anyhow!

Thanks for the compliments gents! It's been a long time coming but it's getting there. I did a lot of work on the trailer over the weekend. New lights, paint and bunks. Probably going to get a new stopper for the bow. Soon I hope to be putting it all back together.

Looking to upgrade to LED but I wanted to keep the retro look, and all the LED kits were kinda pricey. Bought cheapo basic round lights and made my own LED retro fit replacement. I did this exact thing for my utility trailer a few summers ago and they've held up great. I have about 50 ft of warm white LED strips on hand so I cut and soldered a few strips. Then put them in and used some silicone to help them stay as the sticky back they come with aren't very good. Also cut a hole for the light to shine down on the licence plate. Looks great! I wish I had converted to bunks with my trailer now. I replaced all my rollers which was pricey! Your trailer looks good and has better support.

Hey Gents ! I'm still lurking around haha. Haven't posted any progress for a while so I thought I'd bump my thread. Busy with family and a new position at work this year but still keen on making this happen.
So I was cleaning the hull in prep for the gluvit and noticed the one area I never really cleaned out was under the transom support. Using a piece of wire I started poking around and pushing out all sorts of rusted garbage. Most likely from the factory View attachment y4mCcEZu-n0D9UYy9D1EGUMantrSjryNiRjihrXHLRvH1hItt8A9uvzVSbOTHjftmfbp-PmRYFcaY02Xsn7uIrpX5uulk6uTTxOo View attachment y4mqzxDY3JUp7GIEv17eHSlvilsAv6XKOqI0DUfWMoBH3BcPlzYV16LSJ_6iYb9hvDxWEOWoNHPV6kOP54FawNvTpHmf3LrrWE4k
