Hey GT, very much appreciated. I cannot imagine being more excited about the engine shroud. Makes me feel like a kid again on Christmas morning every time I walk into the living room. Mama says I gotta put it back in the boathouse this weekend :Cry:

All the seat base wood has been cut, and fitted with fasteners for a test fit. The little black top strip that goes between the seat backs was a little old. It will sand out I'm sure so I can reuse them.

Seats are looking great. Is the black material between the seats a vinyl that you can resurrect? Anything to keep the period look. Send me some of that beautiful insulation!

The black vinyl could not be saved, wood was toasty and the vinyl was brittle. Yes that insulation keeps me cold on hot winter days.

A great deal of time and treasure went into that cover. I am going to finish painting the rest of the motor, and then finish the seat base fabrication. But I gotta get all the grinding and demo done for the floor before my tyvek suit turns me into a bean pole. That thing DOES NOT BREATHE.uke:

Got this little 1961 3hp Johnny yesterday. Are these a good motor? Is it worth fixing?
