That is one cool looking barn find ! I'm sure your wife could somehow see the benefits of bringing it home. Just tell her youwill be saving the environment or something and also how great she will look cruising the lake in it !;)

Wow and the windshield is still intact!

Well I would restore it BUT, do you have a motor available?

A pretty boat w/o a motor is a glorified row boat! I imagine a nice 40 or 50 2 stoke would be fine for that.

AND

I will not get between you and the wife............ just explain how it is a home project and will keep you at home...... does she expect you to take up Golf and spend thousands on a new set of custom Ping clubs!!!

It had a 1960 Mercury 300s which I already took off of it.

Nice barn find kax. It makes it a whole different ballgame when it comes w/ a great looking early Merc 300. Even 1 that needs some care & attention.

I have no idea how the Fleet Admiral @these parts puts up w me & my nonsense RE: project boats & motors these days:facepalm:

So on that note, I wish you luck & a happy home, 1 w/ or w/out an interesting Dorsett in the garage. Whichever way lets you sleep w/ 2 closed eyes at night, & NOT on the couch.

Not worth the time or the $$ .. skip this one and look around.. ( I accept Paypal and AMX ;) ) ..

Good find kax .. I would do her in a heartbeat with or without a motor :) .

I need a vacation to Indiana. If the wife says NO, let me know and I'll drive up and take her off your hands. The Blue Flamingo Needs a mate and this would be perfect.

That's a great old boat- Dorsetts have a lot of style! They aren't as common on this coast, either... I'd be all over that.
