Thanks All! Those pics are of wet sanding up to 1200. I decided i am going to take one more day (when time permits) and finish the sanding topside. I am about 75% there and I have never been able to stop something mid-stream. Once sanding is done, I will cut with a high abrasive compound, polish and wax and be done with that aspect (for now)
. I am quite sure i will be happy enough for the time being with the difference in appearance.
However, I am not going to break the bank and my back getting her all gussied up just to have my motor and transom ripped off in rough water. She is primarily a river rat, and i am sure you all know the dangers associated with that...
This is why forums like these on iboats are such a blessing. A novice like myself can come here and have thought provoking conversations with people much more knowledgeable than myself. So thank you all again!
jbcurt, thanks for you compliment. I think things will be taken to the next level in time.
WOG, Thank you for the link. The information is first class!!!
Greenbush, I know you are correct. This project quickly went from being a cosmetic "quick fix" to the realization that if i want to give this boat to my boy one day, I have some serious work ahead of me...
I will get pictures up tomorrow of the bow in the transom so you all can see what i see. Thanks again!
