2019 suzuki 20hp alarm

how do you check the codes on these engines.
we were running it yesterday and the red light was on and horn was beeping.
it was running really rough when it did this.
oil on the dipstick is good and it has a good pee stream.

took the boat out yesterday. motor ran like crap. could see a rainbow in the water. thinking gas. no buzzer though. Any ideas?.

possibly overheated and warped the head.
check plugs for signs of water, do a compression check or leakdown test on the cylinders

there was a pee stream so im thinking its not overheated. but i will check compression. What should the numbers be for compression.

is not firnig on some cyllinder. change new plugs and see

Bring to your dealer for diagnostics.

The diagnostic software and cable is relatively cheap. Find it plenty of places. Last I checked it was under $100. This will give you codes and live data as well as the ECU tracked engine hours

That appears to be correct. It is an aftermarket cable and probably ripped off software but it may very well work. The real deal is around $200 now and is genuine Suzuki
