2012 Mercury 60 ELPT 4stroke Trim gauge wire brown/white stripe

Brand new 2012 Tracker pro guide v16 sc is the boat. I have the motor in the topic. It comes with the sending unit installed from factory. The wire I am looking for is a brown/white stripe. I see it coming off the unit. It is a analog unit, so I bought a analog Teleflex trim gauge part # 62549p. The problem lies under the console where the wire harness comes from the motor. I can not locate this brown/white stripe wire. Does it change colors along the way? I have several brown wires with stripes but not one with white. I have one solid brown wire but it runs to the oil pressure beeper. I am pulling my hair out on this one, and don't have much to spare. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm with this guy. My dad wants to add a trim guage also. Same boat and motor. I can find the sender wire there it goes into the harness in the motor, but can't find it under the dash. Please advise.

I know this post is old. But did either of you find the wire termination location? is it behind the shifter housing?
