Anyone know where I can find replacement hardware for the cabin door on a 2002 Wellcraft 2600 Martinique? I recently bought a boat with key cylinder drilled out and I need to secure my cabin.

Re: 2002 Martinique 2600 cabin door lock replacement
Well you right, the latch is from Southco... they wouldn't sell to me but refered me to a distributor. But the distributor is saying I have to buy a new latch at $200 which doesn't make sense to me. I should be able to reapir my current one... any insight anyone?
Re: 2002 Martinique 2600 cabin door lock replacement
I don't think you can take the lock apart without tearing it up. If I remember right, the two halves were either welded together or riveted together. $200 sounds high. I don't think I paid that much. I would check around on the internet.
Note: the new lock that I got was slightly shorter than the old lock. I had to drill a new hole in the door for the pin/screw that holds it in place. You can't really notice........
