So as of tonight, I still need to install the drive, run the fuel line to the pump and plug the motor into the canon plug. Over all everything has lined up and the coupler alignment is good. It should be running by the weekend - hopefully. I will post a video for those that are interested. Stay tuned.

Holy COW. How in da world did you get the manifolds on? SuperGlue? You gotta be kidding me. I guess you can cut a hole in the transom and put a door on it to change the oil filter. Can't wait to hear how she runs!

Go man.

LOL- Rick, the motor box has large openings in it under the rear seats so i have full access to everything in the bilge, including the oil filter. I will post pictures of that. Basically I loaded the manifold bolts into the manifold with the gasket and then lowered the manifold down. Then we started the bolts. Took two people but it went ok. Had to use a ratchet wrench to tighten the bolts, no room for a torque wrench. Tightened them up as evenly as I could and as best I could. I really hope this is all worth it.

Nice work, a little grease on the sides and slides right in...

It will run like a raped ape compared to the old 2.3

Hey thanks Scott - ya I imagine it's gonna hawl ass. The boat did move ok with the 4 banger and has kiss 40mph on occasion but was just screaming. So the 6 should liven things up. Anyway if the weather holds I'll get her fired up and splashed for a sea trial.

Well today ran into problem today. could not get the engine to start. Turns out that the fuel pump is pooched. So I plan to dismantle the pump and transfer the lever from the pooched pump to an other carter pump I have. The other pump I have looks almost identical except for the lever. When the rain ends will get back at her

Well I got the lever transferred tonight. Tomorrow I will try the pump and see what happens. If it works I'll take pictures of what I did. Time for bed

Ok - the fuel pump I built from the OMC 2.3 with the 4.3l cam lever worked - hahaha. Runs mint. I have the videos of the start up and a SEA TRIAL we did today. Omg the flies. At one point it hit 50 but I didn't want to push it too hard for the initial run. We did have some problems. The steering was backwards so had to correct that out on the water. The lower shift came came unconnected at the motor. One of the little screws fell out. Happened right when we were coming back in to dock. Have oil leak at the oil pressure leak and I think also at the intake manifold gasket area. Is that possible? Other than that it's a completely different boat now - with the power steering and gobs of power compared the 2.3 pig - in so happy that I can't stop smiling. Anyway I will post the videos as soon as I get to my computer......stay tuned

Right on bud. Amazed that it came together like it did. Congrats.
Thanks Rick.....I have some more vids that really show this thing rip. Im so happy how it turned out. Now just need to work out the bugs, and get my rear seats back together and modify the motor box to accept the dog house.

ok here it is....I hope its clear. In the first few seconds you can see the boat hit 45 no problem then i back off due to some waves then i pin it for the first time and It hits 50. but thats on the crappy boat gauge. I left my GPS in the truck:facepalm:. Anyway I was not able to trim up because the trim up solenoid is not functioning. I trimmed it up a tad by jumping the solenoid but had no control after that. So with a proper prop and some fiddling it should be a fun little boat to rip around in.
