So over all today here is was was done today. installed the Mercruiser transom assembly, Cut part of my port side motor box to allow the y pipe to fit. Cut out the bayliner gages. Set the new gages into place. Pulled out all the omc wiring with the exception of the bilge pump, stern light, blower fan wiring. I separated that out of the harness as those were plumbed to the switches. I installed the power steering ram. This was a tight fit as well.(pictures tomorrow). Ran the steering cable and the shift cables. Switched over the steering rack under the dash. Connected up all wiring from the gage cluster to main wiring harness. hooked up the throtle/shifter. Drank some beer!! was hot out. cleaned out the bilge with soap and water. If the weather holds out I will paint it in the morning. Basically ready to install the motor. Busy Busy!! Im going to have to re support my port side seat back and motor box but that shouldnt be a problem. (some glass work) I also lucked out and managed to switch the alternator from the 2.3 to the 4.3 as the 4.3 alternator was pooched. it bolted right in. super lucky there. So we will see what tomorrow holds.
