Has anyone installed this bracket on their starter Part # 863212? How does it attach the block ? I'm concerned that there is no support on mine and that the ear on the block could get compromised.
Hi rick thanks - it's nice to finally here it run. Aren't you worried about that start bolt hole? The bracket is supposed to help that

NICE WORK! it seems to be running very well and should treat you well. i am quite jealous of the quietness... hopefully a 17 pitch prop on mine this coming spring will help with that at least.

I am definitely jealous. My 2.3 has been great for a first boat and we had a good season this year. Have you been able to get the dog house on? How well did it fit over the 4.3. My boat is the 1650 and I am afraid that the 4.3 might just be too big for this boat, not that it would stop me if I found a donor.

Hey the dog house has to be raised approx 2 inches. Then it fits over the risers. Didn't know bayliner made a 1650 - ? My bud had a ViP that was a tad smaller than mine and he did the same swap- was fast too - all said and fine in really pleased with it and looking forward to a full season with her now !!!!!
