1999 200s Wellcraft

Found a soft spot in the ski locker and now I have removed the deck from the hull the whole floor needs to be replaced it looks like the ski locker has been replaced before i cut out the floor where the replacement was installed and found a cross board was cut out but not sealed and what wood was in the stringers is rot now the stringers they seem to be half foam filled has any one worked with this type of stringers and have any advice for me thank you CIMG4525.jpgCIMG4526.jpgCIMG4527.jpg

Welcome to iBoats!

Foam filled stringers are fairly common. Can you tell if it is Wet or Dry? If wet, I'd recommend cutting the top off the stringers, removing the foam and repouring it. You could fabricate bulkheads using the poured foam and glassing them in as well. Need a larger pic of the deck area and possibly draw some lines in where you want the ski locker and bulkheads to go.

I have cut out more of the floor and found the stingers are wooden box filed with foam and the wood is wet so I'm going to pull the whole floor i hope that i don't have to pull the motor it is a new engine that i just put in. Ok now i have removed more of the floor and found that this boat only has one full bulkhead and a half in front of the engine to hold the fuel tank in place all stringers are foam filled box the side stringers in the pic found wet foam in it so i thank Im going to cut the tops off the stringers but will remove the rest of the floor first if any one can help me with some idea's let me know thank you for viewing

I have done more work over the weekend and some more pic I'm going too cut off the tops of the stringers next maybe one at a time but should only cut a section of the stringer at a time or the whole top off any info thank you

Looks like you are making good progress. Don't really look like there is much foam down there. Cant wait to see the tops off.
