Is Chapman a Private or Public school? I'm guessing private and most of them are founded on Christian Principles and I could have probably survived in that atmosphere.

Public. My views represent my beliefs. I make my decisions based upon my beliefs and prayers. I donā€™t change who i am because i go to work. Yet, I donā€™t force my beliefs on the kids, but i donā€™t hide the fact that He is who my core principles and hopefully actions (i mess this one Up sometimes!) are based on. We use FCA a lot to offer kids spiritual opportunities. They arenā€™t required, but they are there if they so choose.

Thanks for all you guys help. Happy Fatherā€™s Day to the fathers. So guess what - out of resin again! Iā€™m sure i use too much, but...
Got the first layer of CSM down. Got 2/3 of the deck tabbed in on top of that. One layer of 6ā€ 1708 followed by a 12ā€ layer. While waiting on the resin, today i got the bases cut for the captains chairs, batteries, hydraulic lift pump, and supports for under the bow seats. Also, cleaned up some mess in the shop. This week Iā€™ll sand and clean up so Iā€™m ready to wipe down and finish when the resin arrives. Also going to build the base for the bench seats. Thinking of putting one to three 1ā€ PVC pipes cut in half - mouse holes - so the water in the passenger area can easily flow to the bilge and not puddle against the bench seat.
Thoughts? Or other ideas for this?

Yup. Weep holes in the bottom of the stringers and or bulkheads are good but...If you use expandable foam it's kinda self defeating. You might want to talk to Kcassells. He has an excellent solution for draining the hull from below the deck.

My experience was I had several "Issues" with people calling the school to complain about the public display of Religious activities before the game. Even some parents had issues with my voicing them to my players. Administration sided with them and encouraged me to cease and desist. I refused and then I resigned before they could try to fire me and I WAS a tenured Teacher and Coach. I'm happy that your school, for now, is not experiencing these issues. I pray they never will.

Thanks brother. I have friends who have gone through similar situations. Admire your convictions!

Been thinking about the box for the bench seat. Almost have it done. It will be totally encapsulated. I Want it where water wont stand against it. What if i run about 5 strips of 1708 vertically from the bilge area towards the bow the width of the seat box. Iā€™ll space them out so they have about ā€œxā€ inches in between. Then mount the box on top of these strips. Would this allow the water in the front to pass under the seat box?

I would cut some 1" PVC in half and use PB to attach them to the bottom of the front and back vertical panels for weep holes and let any water pass thru to the bilge

Got the weep pipes almost done. Angled them so all the water would be directed to the bilge. Also, got the bolts in the captainā€™s chair bases. Tightented the bases down tight then peanut buttered the recessed bolt heads. Hopefully this will keep the bolts lined up and tight when i glass these down.

Got the box totally cut out. Screwed it together to hold the shape while i fiberglass it. Iā€™ll take the top off after i get the bottom done so i can get the underside. Itā€™s 3/4ā€ ply. Will one layer of CSM and gel coat be enough for this or should i do it like the deck? Two CSM and 6oz?

I did csm only on the front face and then faired it and gelcoated it. It will flex a bit but not too much where it will crack. where you have a lot of traffic like the deck, thats where i would want to see the 6oz with a pretty decent thickness ply.

CSM offers very little strength to the mix. It's main purpose is to Bind the Poly resin together so it won't crack when fully cured. I'd recommend a 12" tabbing using CSM and 6oz. 2 layers of CSM on all the rest should be adequate for waterproofing and gelcoating

Whole thing finally fully tabbed. Bow boxes put in tabbed and sealed minus a weep hole. Bench seat seams peanut buttered. Clean up tomorrow and hopefully finish with the final two layers on the deck. šŸ¤žšŸ¼ Iā€™m going to finish this baby just in time ....
to winterize! šŸ˜‚

Almost finished the deck. Came up 1/2 gallon short on resin.... in the mean time, i started working on putting the motor back together. The bilge is done so i went ahead and gelcoated it so i can work on the motor while i wait on resin. Glasses in a platform for the batteries and hydrolic pump. Didnā€™t worry about sanding or fairing this part being it all all be in storage areas and never seen.
