Put the throttle tight to the stop and ignore anything on the throttle. If it does not start easier that way then try opening the low speed screw on the carb an 1/8-1/4 of a turn see if that helps with starting. Good luck with your motor to much nonsense being thrown around on this post. The float also has no effect on starting unless I is stuck closed.
