Well I couldn't help myself. I busted some a** and got the interior in. The wife helped clean some stuff up so I could do the hard stuff. The back bench is all in, got the battery switch mounted. Got the seats mounted on the swivel posts but didn't have screws to put them down so there just in there for the picture. I know some people might poo poo the carpet because I spent all the time and money to gel coat but I will not be gluing it down or putting snaps in. Its a heavy 28oz carpet with rubber backer and I just want it to float. Its just rough cut for now, still need to sew on edging. Still a lot of lose ends to tie up but man am I happy with the outcome.

If I do another rebuild I'd like it to be a Larson. :thumb:
Looks even more incredible with the finishing touches. You should be proud.

Your splash was alot like mine was. I went and put in at a lake I couldn't start it at. Trolling motors only. Just to test for leaks. Because the lake is literally next to my house with zero traffic on the landing.

Now is your real splash getting to ride in the boat. You did a great job. I personally love the boat. The look and style. And like micky I am a 3 liter lover. The longer gas last the more I can be out boating.

You took the time to make the hull shine. To me that is a big bonus. Get ready for the OOOOHs and AAAAHs as you launch. I had 4 older men there when I took mine out. We talked for an hour. Old boats may not draw money selling like a old car. But they sure get the same attention when they are cherry like your is now.

Wishing you a good summer and happy boating. It is bittersweet seeing a boat you followed being completed. Joy and sadness. Happy it is done. But you will miss the post of it getting done.

Thanks everybody for the comments. I am so happy with the turn out. Of course there is little things I wish was nicer but it's a beautiful boat now. I cant wait for the first day out at the lake.

I will miss posting progress and seeing it come together. It's not 100% done yet so there will still be a few.

My wife just asked the other day if we could get rid of the carpet in our '99 Larson as I'm taking care of some maintenance items and thinking the whole boat could use a refreshing.... I just read through this entire thread today!
I'm scared to start tearing anything out for fear that I'll find something thatll make me tear down further and end up doing a complete build like you! I will say that mine has the sundeck/bench seat factory and I was thinking of converting to a doghouse style to get more room! Haven't actually decided on or committed to any particular direction yet but gained a lot of insite and ideas from your build!
Looks Amazing!
Thanks for documenting!

Thanks a lot. To be honest I think I have more room now. Not sure how the big the factory set up is but I have more leg room and more walking room now than before. No one ever wanted to sit in the rear back to back seat, especially if someone is sitting on the dog house seats.

The carpet is why I went with a rug, I am a clean freak when it come to my vehicles and toys. I wanted to be able to pull it and clean it.

Been away for a while, had to travel for work. Some final touches yet I had left over vinyl from the wrap and found someone to cut my registration number out of it, I love how clean it looks.

Found someone selling the decals for the outdrive and I think these are from the newer models but match my blue and grey theme.

Lastly added some speaker in the bow to give anyone riding up there a little better sound.

Still need to install the blower, bilge and edge my carpet rug.

Wow, Mike, this is absolutely incredible work. Would you mind posting a few photos of your sun pad/engine cover lifting up and the engine bay inside? I love the way you've done and plan on doing mine similar. Thanks in advance!
