So I started on the restoration today. Got the motor derigged, the rub rail removed, and am working on getting all the gauges removed. The plan is to remove the motor tomorrow and get the top cap off... I see that peanut butter referenced elsewhere holding the splash well together, that should be fun...
I hit the cracks with some coarse sand paper, it appears as iff only the gel is cracked, not the glass. I plan on sanding the whole boat so there are no cracks before priming and painting. I plan on painting the boat all white, with red lettering.
I will replace the transom and stringers with sea cast or similar. The boat will get new electronics, a new trolling motor, and new carpet. The 150 Evinrude will stay, after I tune her up and repaint her.
