You could of gone with csm. With the 8.6 oz just exaggerate the width a little and you'll simply come back with either the razor trim method {just prior to full cure} or the ole grinder method. Either way still wet out the top of the stringer, place glass then wet that out. Probably use a roller for the 8.6 oz. Well it's 2:30 here my time so I'll bet it's already done! :)

Nah... you can use csm. You may be right Sam. Just checked with USC they recommend poly or poly ester for resin of choice. In this case 8.6 oz is probably the better
choice. Just checking on who's awake here today. Certainly not me! :)

Just pre-wet the stringer, cut your stringer caps from the8.6oz cloth, lay the piece over the top, wet out the top 1st, then each side from the top down, use alligator clamps to hold it in place if needed.

thinner is always easier, if your deck sits on top of the stringers, then you don't need anything....

I should note, I don't use a roller, just a chip brush, and work the air down the stringer side...in fact, I havnt used a roller for any of my glassing, just resin and brush ;)....but that's why it takes so long hehe

Like the Zool said. Epoxy pb is all you need to cap the stringers to the deck. {hehe I still add chopped fibers"**

Thanks for the speedy replies. Yesterday I did the chip brush method but obviously I didn't do it correctly. I would do the top first then work done the sides. But it would keep moving the cloth and cause air bubbles.
So I used the 6oz same brush method and seems like it working out.
Yes my deck will sit atop of stringers but I am determined to get this right plus I figure it cant hurt to have it on there.
Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there!!!

Looking good over there!
When I glassed in my strakes with mat tape, I cut the bristles down to around 2" then stipple the air out, you can actually hear the air popping out.

Ok so originally this was wasted space
j
But I am thinking I could keep my batteries inb here and probably other junk also.
This is how it looks now

I am thinking I could run pvc thru both bulk heads so I can run the rubber hose for draining the deck storage and run a pvc to drain any water I get in fuel tank area to bilge.
Then I would tab in a flat floor foam under the floor and have storage area
The access would be from above thru a access door I install in the removable floor panel
