Not sure what that first "plate" thing is,....hull id tag maybe???,..........

That might be a high speed pickup for the live well/bait well,...........A less close up to see it's orientation on the hull might help,...

So that is the bottom of the boat??

If so I would say it looks like a high speed water pickup that forces water into the live well/bait well when at speed,.....

Nice progress! Cool to be able to decapitate that girl. Working on her will go much faster and easier on your back. How dry were those wood cores?

Yeah kc I am thinking it will be worth the work when I start working in the hull.
Ok so I am going back and forth on single or dual motors. Boat is rated at 300hp which in 1992 weight was around 565 lbs. Now today's motors weigh in at about 100 lbs more which I suppose is no big deal.
But if i decide to go twins weight difference can be upwards of 300 lbs.
My ? is should I use epoxy for the strength. Is 300 lbs just to much added weight?

Wish I could help you there. I'm straight up EEEEpoxyyy. But this ends up turning into a conversation like foaming a boat. Got to take my son to work. Get back later.
