Installed the stern tie down supports today. Over built them a bit, but hey who is to complain about more strength around the transom!

There's 90% of the deck tabbing down. Had a roll of 6" wide 1708 so I was able to lay down 10' runs on each side to minimize joints. I'm putting off installing the tank and the tank cover because I'll have to install the fill hose and vent hose prior and just work around it from then on. Wish there was a way to get to it through the deck plate, but it's not going to be possible. Thankfully I can pour foam without that piece of the deck installed. Looks like the foam pour will be early next week so hopefully I can be preparing to install the cap by late next week!

The boat is officially foamed... Well about 98%. Came up about half a cavity short on foam which is aggrivating because I know I had enough in waste to fill it. Thankfully I can get the smaller kit from uscomposites to finish it off. Everything's coming along slowly but surely!

Still coming along...haven't had a ton of progress so I haven't posted any pictures lately. Seems I'm either working late or it's raining lately so not a ton is getting done. I've got 3/4 of the first layer of csm down on the deck. Went over and sanded that this morning before the rain hit. If its clear tomorrow and I have enough resin I'm hoping to get the second layer down and start getting the cap ready to stick back on!

Ok so here's a little photo update.
First... Gas tank installed.. Did similar to Frisco with the rubber strips around the tank to keep it off the hull. Unfortunately I'm having to carry on from now on with the fill and vent hose attached which is going to be a hassle but I had no way of getting to it once the hatch was on.

Deck fully down with a layer of resin on.

The infamous messy csm... I am beyond glad this part is over with!

Finally... Two layers of csm down!

I've got some small areas at the front of the bilge to finish up... Those hoses being in the way are making it difficult! But at this point the cap can go back on... Have some pieces of carpet that were inside the front storage compartments that need to come off... I'm going with zero carpet on the ole girl!

Doing well... Looks like you are still plugging along... and yes, being done with CSM is reason enough to pop a cork...

Keep us posted and keeping on pushing... You are skating downhill now!!!

Bow eye install:

Had to support the boat and lower the trailer to gain clearance for drilling. It amazes me at how much more solid this boat is now even without the cap on!

Fully installed... Sealed with 5200... It isn't the prettiest but you could probably just about hand the boat from that thing now!

Spent the remainder of the afternoon trying to strip all the old silicone off the hull... That's an adventure in itself!

Re: 1992 Marada 1800MVB.. stringer, transom, deck restore

Sooo the day came that it was time to put the ole girl back together... I got tired of waiting on help to get this done so I tackled it myself! Don't ever get the same idea because I feel like I got my butt whipped! Nevertheless, four hours later I've got a boat again.
How I rigged everything up..

And finally everything all back together!

I was pleasantly surprised at how well it dropped back on. Little did I know until everything was back on that the underside of the swim platform is supported by a glassed in 1/2" piece of plywood... Which is rotted... Go figure I'd not check that! I'm thinking I have enough room to cut it out and glue in a piece of plastic just for some support... Hopefully! But first... IT NEEDS A BATH!

Here's what was left of the wood support under the swim platform.

And here's why it was mostly rotted. The holes drilled for the steps were twice the size of the bolts they used with no sealant!

I'm still deciding if I want to find a piece of plastic for this or just csm some wood and glue it back in if I can find some way to clamp it.

Had to snap a picture of it behind the truck... First time I've had the boat hooked up to this truck.

Finally washed up a little... I was worried the gelcoat had chalked up but it's still got a decent shine.

It's been awhile since an update. Buying a house has put a damper on cash flow for the project so it slowed down a lot! So I'll just show a few pictures of the progress.
Seat bases...

Looks like I'm on to engine reassembly and interior next. Atleast those can be done in the winter!

good to see you still on the project. Seat bases and gel coat turned out great.

Keep plugging away it... You're on the downhill stretch now...
